Coffee Ice Cream Recipe Best Of Both Worlds

Fortunately, you do not have to rely on the grocery store in order to get your coffee ice cream fix.  Indeed, if you own an ice cream maker (or you canyou can pick one up for less than $50 at virtually any department store)   and a double boiler, you easily make your own.  (And when I say easily, I mean that making this supreme desert is nothing to be afraid of.) In order to make your own coffee ice cream, you will need the following items Three cups light cream One cup whipping cream Three quarters cup chilled coffee (you can use your favorite variety, and can also brew it to your desired strength) Three eggs beaten One and three quarters sugar One and a half teaspoon vanilla One half teaspoon salt. ·           See, simple.  In fact, it is very likely that you have most, if not all, of these ingredients in your kitchen right now.  And, as if this recipe could get any simpler, preparation is also a breeze.  The light cream then slowly the sugar, stirring until all of the sugar crystals are completely gone. To the top section of your double boiler  put the beater egg whites the add the cream as you mix it well. It will thicken as you cook but do not stop cooking until it has.(this will be noticeable, and even a novice ice cream maker will recognize when it happens.) Remove from heat immediately and place in the refrigerator or freezer to chill. Once the coffee ice cream mixture has chilled, add the rest of the ingredients except for the vanilla and put all of this into the ice cream maker add the being the freezing process according to the ice cream machine's listed instructions. Once it reaches the point where it is just about frozen add the vanilla then allow the freezing process to complete and enjoy. One of the most attractive aspects of this particular recipe for coffee ice cream is that it is unbelievably smooth due to all of large amount of cream that is called for in the recipe.  Additionally, if you choose, you may want to add almond slivers or dark chocolate chips, or both, to suit your individual tastes.  This is delicious served alone, or topped with whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate topping.
