Coffee Dessert Recipes Have to Include Coffee Cake

One of the single more attractive selling points of this particular recipe is that it is easy, and when you serve it you will be touted as a fabulous, if not miraculous baker.  Whether you are or even if you are not. In addition, it is a great deviation from the standard, expected types of cakes, such as yellow, white, and chocolate. Most coffee dessert recipes have something very special about them, and naturally it has to be the coffee. In order to make this light and fluffy chocolate-flavored whipped cream cake, you will need only 7 meager ingredients for the cake itself and only 5 more if you want to add homemade frosting (and if you are going to bake the cake from scratch, why ruin it with store-bought frosting from a tub, right?) Indeed, the entire process of preparing and baking the cake and making the frosting will only set you back about an hour.  And for such a small investment, you will get a huge potential return. All you will need to create this extravagant and unexpected cake is the following: 1 c. flour 5 eggs; separated and brought to room temperature 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. instant coffee dissolved in 3 tbsp. boiling water And for the frosting: 2 c. whipping cream 2 tbsp. coffee liquor 2 tbsp. sugar 1/4 c. very strong cold coffee Chopped walnuts or almonds (enough to press on top) To bake the cake, first preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then, combine the egg yolks (which should already be separated from the whites) and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat for about 5 minutes with an electric hand mixer, or until thick and the color of fresh lemon peels. Next, blend in the vanilla and the dissolved coffee. Then, combine flour and baking powder and blend slowly and carefully into the batter. After the flour and baking powder have been completely incorporated into the batter, beat in the egg whites until stiff peaks form, and then fold the stiff egg whites into the rest of the batter. After the batter is thoroughly mixed, but not over beaten, pour it into an ungreased 10 inch tube pan. Bake for 30 minutes in your 350 degree preheated oven. When the cake is done, invert it onto a cake rack and allow it to completely cool. To prepare the cake for frosting, slice it crosswise into thirds. To make the frosting itself, whip the cream with the sugar until soft peaks form; then add coffee and liquor. Beat until stiff. Use 1/3 of cream frosting to fill the layers you have cut into the cake, and remainder to frost entire cake. Chill until whipped cream on cake is slightly firm, and then press nuts on top. Chill for at least four hours before serving. If you are looking for coffee dessert recipes you will certainly have no difficulty finding them.
